Actions for Mental Health in Africa
Answers to the questions we are asked most often.
ASMA (Actions for Mental Health in Africa) is a French non-profit association founded on 9 January 2021 by Anne-Sophie Warot. Its mission: to strengthen African initiatives for the mental health of children and adults, working with partner associations on the ground (Benin, Burundi, and others).
Yes, for French taxpayers. ASMA issues tax receipts: a donation entitles you to an income tax reduction of 66 % of its amount, up to 20 % of your taxable income. A gift of €100 therefore costs you €34.
In several ways: an online donation through HelloAsso, a bank transfer, a cheque, membership, volunteering, or by giving professional skills. All the details are on the “Support us” page.
If you run an association or a project for mental health in Africa, write to us from the Contact page, choosing the subject “Partnership proposal” or “Propose a project”. We consider every proposal carefully.
ASMApsy never substitutes itself for what exists: it supports African associations already at work. Our current partners are in Benin (Cotonou) and Burundi, among others. The full, up-to-date list is on the “Partner associations” page.
